I don't understand why fat people think that no one thinks like them. Everyone hates fat people just as much as they hate themselves. Get that fat out of here.

Three Types of Fat People - Type 1 - "Who me fat?"

I had written in a previous post about the three types of fat people that exist out there. My las few posts have been dealing with the first type. Those either in the blissful unawareness that they are overweight , or in deep denial about that fact. I think we have pretty much established what ideal weight is all about. And the fact that if you don't belong in that chart, then you belong on this blog.

To this type of people, the experts and the self help groups offer simple advice. They reason that over the better part of the century, the mean weight of us humans have gone up. Thus it isn't so bad if you have gained a few pounds here and there. After all we all have. So a fat Somalian is actually a normal Asian and a fat Asian is actually a normal American.

As I said before, Fatness isn't statistical. You are fat. Accept it.

Gaak ! Samosa Conspiracy

Gaak! Samosa and Kachori were offered to me today. These are essentially potato deep fried in oil. The only way they could have made it worse would have bee to then dip it in sugar syrup.

I see that this struggle of mine is going to be covered by a lot of these Gaak posts.

Fatness isn't statistical - You are fat

It would be wrong for me to say that I am surprised by so many fat people telling me that they are not really fat. I was one of them.


Look at the chart above. If you lie anywhere that is shaded more then "Appropriate weight", then you are not of an "appropriate" weight. That means you are Fat. You can find millions of website like this one which can give you the above information in chart form, Pie form or even in a power point presentation. But every one on those mediums will still telly you that you are fat.

Don't look at the person sitting next to you to decide if you are overweight compared to that person. You are fat in comparison to yourself.

I saw a website recently which claimed that most of these weight charts were drawn up before 1979, so don't hold validity now. HELLO! if you were fat in 1979, you are fat in 2009. Just because there are more fat people around, doesn't give you sanction to be fat.

Orwell wrote in his book Nineteen eighty four that "insanity was statistical". Well being fat is not.

Ice Cream Conspiracy

Gaak! Butterscotch ice cream was offered to me yesterday! Why is it that the more we need to drop weight, ice creams and sweet products seem to be getting better?

Step 1 - Hate yourself

One of the most essential steps in losing weight is to hate yourself. I know all the self help books that you read tell you to love yourself and to realize that "you are fine just the way you are". that may be so, but I believe that one of the factors paramount to change is the realization that things need to change. Unless you realise that you are fat, you will remain fat. Unless you realise that being fat makes you look ugly, you won't try to lose fat. The fact is that you are fat and you look ugly.

Fat people can be essentially divided into three types. We shall talk about that in a later post. Before you put yourself in either of the bracket, you will need to acknowledge that you exist in the fatness catagory. It is an surprisingly hard thing to do. Like an alcoholic who convinces himself that his intake is under control, we convince ourselves that the extra pounds sticking to our waist lines is just something that we can shed anytime. Others, who have tried and failed convince themselves that the flab isn't much.

All it takes is one good look in the mirror. If you are fat, you will look fat. You will look fat to yourself, you will look fat to your neighbour and you will look fat to your dog.

Yes we can !!

We definitely can. I started from 91 KG's on 18th of April and am now 87 KG's. Just another 13 Kilos to go. At this rate I should reach the target by July end. This should be a very short blog indeed. :)
